Fifth Anniversary

Maimeo’s Memories has reached a milestone. Almost five years ago, on July 14th, we purchased our first shelf lots at an estate auction. We didn’t even have a store yet! There are still a few items on line from that auction that have not found the right home yet (pictured here).
My husband and I had been collecting various antiques and interesting artifacts for years as well as inheriting some pieces. Our main interest (but no longer) was pressed glass from the early 20th century. Especially goblets that we used for wine at our dinner table.
Once you get bit by the collecting bug, you quickly find out that you want to buy a lot more than you can use or store.
We  started Maimeo’s Memories to continue the fun of auctions and discovery and to share finds with others who appreciate historical and interesting items.
We greatly enjoy purchasing items and researching their origin, use, and history. Frequently, the cleaning up process reveals surprises as well. A sudden “find” is a special reward.
Maimeo’s Memories is online at  http://maimeosmemories.com/Default.aspx with plans to open a vintage postcard store. And if you are in the Baltimore-Washington area you can visit our spaces at the Savage Mill Antique Center http://www.antique-cntr-savage.com/.

Update: fan has been sold.
